Stacey Cadman



Stacey was born in the West Midlands, England in 1980. After leaving school in Sutton Coldfield she moved to Birmingham to study Performing Arts and Dance before moving once again to study Musical Theatre at The Arts Educational School in Chiswick, London.

In 2002 she was chosen from among hundreds of actress' for the lead role in the BBC children's show Cavegirl about a tomboyish teen girl in the stone age. The show was filmed in the beautiful landscape surrounding Cape Town, Republic of South Africa, much of it regulated by the Cape Nature Conservation.The show ran for 2 series and won The Children's Award at the BBC's 12th Annual Awards Ceremony for Independent Producers in 2004.

In 2004 she was awarded the role of naive teen Poppy Fields in the 2nd series of SkyOne show Mile High, which once again involved lots of on location filming, this time mainly in the Mediterranean Islands.

Other minor roles include Tiffany Turner in Love Soup(2005), and a recurring role as Bling, a member of a pop group called Girl Thing in the Ben Elton penned comedy Blessed(2005). Stacey has also appeared as Sabrina Watkins in an episode of Casualty (2006).

She has also been an occasional presenter, firstly for the show Smile which was showing Cavegirl on BBC and also co-presented The Saturday Show, also on the BBC. In 2005 she presented Monster Jam on Channel 4, a programme about competing Monster trucks where she got to travel to the USA.

Stacey has appeared in several pantomime shows, she played the lead in Cinderella in both 2004/05 and 2005/06, and as the lead in Peter Pan in 2003/04. Other theatre appearances include Funk School Pop Showcase,The Wiz, Children of Eden, Me and My Girl, Once in a Lifetime, the Elton John tour, Good At Being Bad, Romeo and Juliet, and Goldilocks among others.

Besides being keen dancer Stacey is also an active kick boxer, having taken up the sport aged 15 with the PKA as classes were offered at her dance school, Her family is also involved in martial arts with her father having fully trained in Karate and Kung Fu, with her younger brother involved as a Taekwondo player.

With her talent beauty and tough work ethic I am sure that she will go on to be a much bigger star in the future.
